OppCourt & The German Energy Academy (GEA)
The German Energy Academy (GEA) Jordan was created to provide young people with the skills to actively shape the energy transition. GEA offers internationally accredited, practice-oriented qualifications that prepare students to design, build, operate, and maintain renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
By collaborating closely with the private sector, GEA ensures its training programs meet market needs, are gender-responsive, and create safe learning environments for women. The Academy also develops outreach strategies and e-learning formats to broaden participation across the region.
OppCourt’s Role
Under subcontract from BSW – the German Solar Association, OppCourt supports GEA by:
Matching students and graduates of GEA with German companies in the solar and broader energy sector.
Acting as a bridge between Jordan and Germany, helping young professionals gain real-world experience.
Supporting companies in Germany to find motivated, well-trained interns from Jordan.
Through this role, OppCourt contributes directly to building the next generation of skilled professionals who will strengthen renewable energy industries in both Jordan and Germany.
